I’m passionate about fostering the next generation of storytellers. I have taught courses at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and the University of Montana’s Environmental Journalism program.
I have also coached journalists and writers through many programs, including the AAAS Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship, Columbia University’s Dart Center Fellowship, the University of Montana’s Crown of the Continent Fellowship, and the Open Notebook Sharon Dunwoody Mentoring Program.
I have expertise in helping other journalists with all parts of the writing process: from coming up with story ideas to reporting, pitching, structuring and writing, and and promoting their work.
If your organization needs a mentor to work with writers — or to help scientists find the story in their research — please get in touch.
