I’m passionate about fostering the next generation of storytellers. I have taught courses at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and the University of Montana’s Environmental Journalism program.
I have also coached journalists and writers through many programs, including Columbia University’s Dart Center fellowship, the University of Montana’s Crown of the Continent Fellowship, and the Open Notebook Sharon Dunwoody Mentoring Program. I have expertise in helping other journalists with all parts of the writing process: from coming up with story ideas to reporting, pitching, structuring and writing, and and promoting their work.
If your organization needs a mentor to work with writers — or to help scientists find the story in their research — please get in touch.
